Kiesel Bauchemie GmbH & Co. KG develops, produces and distributes installation materials for all types of floor coverings, including levelling compounds, adhesives and jointing compounds. The company sees itself as a technically leading supplier that also convinces its customers with innovations, such as the ServoArt® CeFlo design floor and the revolutionary Okalift Superchange resurfacing system. In doing so, Kiesel always pursues the goal of providing people with a healthy, homely and visually appealing living space in the long term.

Task

The somewhat outdated, individual controlling solution was to be replaced by a modern, standardised software tool. The main focus was on the intuitive and high-performance operation of antares analyzer. The information content of the database should noticeably exceed the scope of the web-based tool to be replaced, and the possibilities for graphical evaluations in sales should be significantly expanded. It is of utmost importance to be able to quickly and easily identify changes in sales territories, customers and products. In addition to a rough overview of sales figures, the new tool should allow for deeper analyses in a simple way.

Solution

As a long-standing antares customer, Kiesel Bauchemie naturally did not want to do without the familiar advantages of a web-based solution. In addition, a data warehouse based on a high-performance, multidimensional OLAP cube should offer all possibilities for a wide range of analyses. The special charm of the antares solution lies in the flexible substructure and the customising possibilities, which combine a very fast go-live with maximum individual customisation in one tool. The very broad, cross-industry customer base of antares and the well-founded expert knowledge of the consultants guaranteed a quick understanding of the objectives and the underlying data models of the previous systems - the data import, which is often a big hurdle, was thus implemented within two days. A subsequent short test phase with minor adjustments and a small training session was followed by live operation. The entire introduction could thus be completed within only 3 weeks.

The requirements in detail

Always up-to-date data such as order backlog and incoming orders are of high relevance for sales staff, sales management and controlling. The usual evaluations of turnover, sales and sales prices are supplemented by contribution margins, discounts and customer-specific bonuses. The data can be analysed by sales channels, customers, countries, products, order types, etc. in just a few seconds. The complex calculation logic has been fully implemented in antares analyzer.
